Please join us at an open house for Gosia Wlodarczak, artist-in-residence.

Gosia was the first artist in residence at BoxoHOUSE and has returned for a fifth anniversary appearance. Her original residency resulted in FROST DRAWING FOR JOSHUA TREE, the long term drawing installation on the windows at BoxoHOUSE.

Gosia’s practice is comprised primarily of performance-based durational drawing processes in which she commits to line only what she sees.

In this way, she captures time and space, translating the energy of each moment into the line and creating a record of what took place in any given situation. 

For this residency, Gosia has undertaken two projects. California Tunics  is a development of a project undertaken on Gosia’s 25th wedding anniversary when she made tunics for herself and her husband/collaborator Longin S
